Virgin Atlantic Restates Dedication to Maintaining Connectivity with India

As a sign of its dedication to business travellers, Virgin Atlantic, this week began offering flights to the startup capital of India. For US travelers, connecting through London Heathrow from hubs like San Francisco, Los Angeles, JFK, Seattle, and Bengaluru is a vital destination.

This route provides the best connectivity for business or leisure in India’s third most populous city, with average connection times of one to two hours.

Moreover, Virgin Atlantic will now operate a second daily flight to Mumbai, the industrial hub of India. This adds to the airline’s double daily services to Delhi and daily flights to Bengaluru, making it its fifth daily service to India.

On October 27, 2024, the airline’s cutting-edge Airbus A350-1000 will debut on the second daily flight to Mumbai. Tickets go on sale on April 6, 2024. Furthermore, it will feature Upper Class, Premium, Economy Delight, Classic, and Light cabins, along with the airline’s renowned Upper-Class social space.

In addition, seamless connections and superb long-haul journeys await passengers flying via London Heathrow from major US hubs like San Francisco, JFK, and Atlanta. This is with Virgin Atlantic and transatlantic joint venture partner Delta Air Lines.

Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, said:

He continued, “Next year marks 25 years of operations and the first time that we’ll offer more than one million seats to India via London Heathrow with optimal connectivity for our US customers from key tech hubs including San Francisco and Seattle.”
